Mechanism of action
Nilotinib is a highly selective inhibitor of the Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase, which is the oncogenic driver of chronic myeloid leukaemia. It suppresses leukemic cell proliferation and induces apoptosis.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Contraindicated as it may cause foetal harm. Breastfeeding: Not recommended.
