Patient summary

Utilized to target high blood pressure, formulated to support cardiovascular health by relaxing blood vessels and effectively managing long-term hypertension.

Mechanism of action

Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. It selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, found in many tissues such as vascular smooth muscle. This blocks the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II, lowering blood pressure.
