Mechanism of action

Chlorambucil is an alkylating agent. It binds to DNA within cells, causing cross-linking that prevents DNA replication and cell division. This process effectively inhibits the proliferation of abnormal, rapidly dividing cancerous cells, particularly those involved in lymphocytic disorders.
