Mechanism of action
Rivaroxaban acts as a highly selective, direct inhibitor of Factor Xa. By interrupting the intrinsic and extrinsic pathways of the blood coagulation cascade, it inhibits thrombin formation and thrombus development.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Contraindicated due to bleeding risk. Breastfeeding: Not recommended during treatment.
