Mechanism of action
Gutron works as a vasopressor to treat low blood pressure. It is converted in the body to desglymidodrine, an active metabolite that stimulates alpha-1 adrenergic receptors. This action constricts both arteries and veins, increasing vascular resistance and thereby raising blood pressure to more stable levels.
