Mechanism of action
Griseofulvin is fungistatic. It works by binding to tubulin, which interferes with microtubule function and inhibits mitosis in fungal cells. It deposits in keratin precursor cells, making the newly formed keratin resistant to fungal invasion.

Pregnancy: Avoid use due to potential risk to the developing foetus. Breastfeeding: Generally not recommended.
