Mechanism of action
Etodolac reduces inflammation and pain by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which is responsible for the production of prostaglandins. By decreasing prostaglandin synthesis, it alleviates pain and tissue inflammation.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Avoid, particularly in the third trimester. Breastfeeding: Consult a physician before use.
