Mechanism of action
Glyxambi improves glucose control by combining two mechanisms. Linagliptin increases incretin hormone levels, enhancing insulin release. Empagliflozin prevents glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, causing excess sugar to be flushed through urine. Combined, these mechanisms improve glycemic stability without overstimulating insulin production in the body.
