Mechanism of action
Yasmin combines a synthetic oestrogen and progestogen to suppress the release of gonadotropins, thereby preventing ovulation and altering cervical mucus to inhibit sperm penetration.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Do not use if pregnant. Breastfeeding: Not recommended as it may reduce milk production.
