Mechanism of action
Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are critical for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, and repair; inhibiting them prevents bacterial proliferation.
